Tim Fairhurst - (ETOA)

Director-General, European Tourism Association (ETOA)  Co-Chair, European Tourism Manifesto  Tim Fairhurst leads ETOA's dialogue at the EU, national and local levels with policy makers, industry partners, academics, businesses, and destinations. He is responsible for the association's policy and non-commercial activity, including the provision of operational information on the business environment for tourism to and within Europe, and the implementation of its climate action plan. As co-chair, he coordinates the Tourism Manifesto, a pan-European consensus-driven alliance developing priorities related to EU strategy, regulation, funding mechanisms and good practice initiatives affecting the visitor economy. Following studies in France, Ireland, and the UK, he trained as a lawyer and mediator and worked in operations and product development before joining ETOA.
