A place-based approach will support regions to realise their aspirations of no longer being left behind. But what is that and how should they do it?
Mehdi Le Petit-Guerin
Mehdi Le Petit-Guerin is a Postdoctoral Researcher of the Societies, Actors and Government in Europe laboratory (SAGE) at the University of Strasbourg, France. He is a qualified statistician and demographer from the Centre for Comparative Labour and Social Security Law (COMPTRASEC) at the University of Bordeaux, where he is an Associate Researcher. He is particularly interested in regional and individual trajectories with a multidimensional approach to social phenomena, both in France and internationally. He currently works as a quantitative analyst in an international research project on patterns of demographic and socio-economic change in ‘left behind places’ in the UK, Germany and France.
